St. Matthew's 50+ social club invites you to join our fellowship of older adults - 50 years of age and older. Together, we have fun in activities that promote fellowship, caring, and sharing. Meetings are held the second Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. We have special events and trips to various points of interest in and outside Houston. Dues are $10 a year.
We help the parish with its fundraising activities as well as meeting the needs of our Club members. In memory of our deceased members, a contribution is made to the Catholic Clerical Students Fund.

Some of our activities are:

• Corporate Communions: We attend the 10:00 am Mass together, and then go to a brunch as a group.
• Adoration: On Wednesdays from 3-4:00 pm, we go to the Chapel for Adoration and meditation.
• Christmas in July: We have a fundraiser to make money to support some of St. Matthew's social programs and charities.
• Fall Festival: Members support a prize booth and sell chances.

Outstanding Couple or Member - The Diocesan Senior Senate at a special luncheon in December recognizes an outstanding couple or member each year. A certificate is presented and a picture is taken with the Bishop.
